On 11th April 2024, at about 06 44, a traffic accident occurred near the mile post 116/7, Yangon-Mandalay highway road, Thayatkone village, Kyeikhto township, Mon state. Upon receiving reports of a collision between a 6-wheeled FUSO vehicle driven by U Kyaw Kyaw Mway carrying gas containers from Yangon to Mawlammyaing and a (Thein Than Kyaw) vehicle driving from Mawlammyaing to Yangon, the rescuers with 2 fire engines from Kyeikhto township fire station were dispatched to conduct the operation and the operation was completed at 10 00. No one was injured due to the accident and the front part of the (Thein Than Kyaw) vehicle was destroyed. It is learned that the Kyeikhto Police station has opened a case under Section 279/337 of the Penal Code (Pa) 2/2024 against the driver U Kyaw Kyaw Mway.
