The Fire Services Department carries out its duties in accordance with its four main objectives: fire safety activity, natural disaster prevention activity, search and rescue activity, and social welfare activity  As part of its ongoing efforts, the department provides drinking water to areas in need. On March 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, firefighters from the Taung Zin District Fire Station in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, delivered 4,800 gallons of drinking water using two water bowsers to households in Sanpya Village and Ngalinpok Village, where drinking water was in short supply.
