On March 24, 2025, at approximately 12:23 PM, a FAW (blue) vehicle fire broke out that driven by U Aung Thu at the corner of Phaya Gyi Road and Moe Wai Road in Chanthar Gyi Village, Lewe Township, Naypyidaw. The incident occurred when the vehicle, returning from unloading soybean husks in a field, experienced a wiring short circuit, leading to overheating and igniting the sofa seat inside the cabin. According to the report, firefighters from the Lewe Township Fire Station and the Dekkhinathiri Township Fire Station extinguished the fire with two fire engines and one water bowers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 12:32 PM. Due to the fire, the sofa seat inside the vehicle cabin was damaged. Lewe Township Police Station has opened a case against U Aung Thu under Section 285 of the Penal Code (Case No. (Pa) 53/2025).
