On March 21, 2025, at approximately 11:20 AM, a fire broke out in the first-floor right-side unit of a (12x50) ft, two-unit, five-story building owned by Daw U Khin Nwe, located at No. 67, Bon Gyi Street, Ward No. (5), Lanmadaw Township, Yangon Region. The fire was caused by overheating of an air conditioner safeguard, which ignited nearby clothing. According to the report, firefighters from Kyauktada and Ahlone Township Fire Stations, along with auxiliary firefighters, extinguished the fire with three fire trucks and three water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 11:35 AM. Due to the fire, one Chigo (1HP) air conditioner and one (3x4) ft wooden bed were destroyed. The owner, Daw U Khin Nwe, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code by the Lanmadaw Township Police Station (Case No. (Pa) 32/2025).
