On March 19, 2025, at around 11:27 AM, a wildfire occurred near Office No. 33, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, and the Central Equipment Inventory and Inspection Department in Ottarathiri Township, Naypyidaw. According to the report, firefighters from the Ottarathiri Township Fire Station and the Ottarathiri District Fire Station extinguished the fire with two fire engines. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by around 2:16 PM.
