On March 18, 2025, at around 12:58 PM, a boat accident occurred in the Yway River, Maungmya Township, Ayeyarwady Region. A motorboat (Pahtaung) operated by Saw Mu Shi collided head-on with the triple-deck vessel CBR 0328 Sein Thal La Aung (3). According to the report, firefighters from Maungmya Township Fire Station, along with auxiliary firefighters, conducted a search and rescue operation, which was completed at around 1:30 PM. Due to the accident, 4 people were rescued alive and one woman remains missing. The boat operator, Saw Mu Shi was minor  injuries and was transported to Maungmya General Hospital by a public hospital ambulance.
