February 2, 2025, at approximately 7:51 AM, a house fire broke out between Between 22x23 Street & 82x83 Street, Pyi Gyi Kyet Thay West Ward, Aung Myay Tharzan Township, Mandalay Region. That house was owned by Daw Khin Kyi. A two-story residential house (20x25 feet, zinc roof, brick walls, wooden floors), owned by Daw Khin Kyi, caught fire due to a candle that had been lit as part of a Buddhist shrine shelf  and the candle fell over, igniting nearby religious scriptures and causing the fire to spread. According to the report, firefighters from Mandalay Region fire stations extinguished with 3 administrative vehicles,10 fire engines and 5 water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 8:12 AM. Due to the fire, The upper floor of the two-story house was completely destroyed. Daw Khin Kyi has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code by City Police Station No. 5 (Case No. Pa 15/2025).
