On January 28, 2025, at approximately 9:10 AM, a passenger vehicle traveling from Kyaukpadaung to Naypyidaw and the vehicle fire broke out due to engine compartment overheating near the milepost 41/0, close to Kyaukpon Village, along the Kyaukpadaung-Meiktila road. According to the report, firefighters from Kyaukpadaung Township Fire Station and Letpanhpyar Local Fire Station, along with auxiliary firefighters, responded to the incident. The fire was extinguished by 1 fire engine and 2 water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 9:44 AM. Due to the fire broke out a engine, 6 tires, the vehicle's roof and passenger seats and goods were destoryed. The driver, U Ye Min Soe, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code (negligent conduct with respect to fire) with case number (Pa) 4/2025 by the Letpanhpyar Police Station. Due to the accident no one was injured.
