On September 25, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, a fire broke out at the compound of U Soe Lwin Oo’s residence that located on Thit Taw Road, Quarter (6), Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region. The fire started from (15x20)-foot, zinc-roofed, wooden-fenced, single-story storage structure used to store old materials. It was caused by an electrical short circuit from a faulty wire connection, which ignited old paper and cardboard stored inside. according to the report, firefighters from the Pyin Oo Lwin District and Township Fire Stations, along with auxiliary firefighters, responded to the scene with two fire engines and one water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 2:15 PM. The fire destroyed one (15x20)-foot single-story structure with a zinc roof and wooden fence, along with the old paper and cardboard stored inside. The owner, U Soe Lwin Oo, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code (Case No. P-239/2024) at the Pyin Oo Lwin Township Police Station.
