On September 13, 2024, at around 11:00 a m, heavy rainfall in Tada-U Township, Mandalay Region, caused the Panlaung River to rise, resulting in flooding in low-lying areas. Villages affected include Themaungkan Village Tract, Bhlaybhay Village Tract, Kancho Village Tract, Sakaein Village Tract, Tanlongtatt Village Tract, and Panya Village Tract, where water entered residential homes. According to the report, SAR members from Tada-U Township Fire Station, auxiliary fire brigade members, and related organizations coordinated and carried out evacuation and assistance operations. These operations commenced and were completed by 6:00 p m. Due to the flooding affected, in total 3,390 households comprising 13,029 individuals were evacuated to safe locations.
