
In the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, due to heavy rainfall and resulting flooding, the Fire Services Department's search and rescue teams, led by Director-General U Myat Thu, are actively carrying out rescue operations. As of 20:30 on September 12, 2024, a total of 3,602 flood-affected individuals from 30 locations have been evacuated to safe areas. The affected locations include: Tat Kone and Ma Kyi Pin: 150 individuals, Ywar Thit Village and Anawrahta Ward: 129 individuals, Nyaung Pin Pya Inn, Be Kone Village, Pubbha, and Wet Inn Village: 12 individuals, Aye Myint Thaya, Seik Kone Village, Tan Bo Su Village, Chaung Sauk Village, and Pauktaw Village: 705 individuals, Pyinmana and Ma U Bin Villages: 24 individuals, Pyinmana Sugar Mill, Monastery, Nyaung Pin Thar Village, Thanat Shay Village, and Kyun Oo Village: 651 individuals, Wet Kone and Pauktaw Villages: 399 individuals, Pubbha Thiri Tauk Htein Village: 20 individuals, Khin Thar Junction and Pin Laung Junction: 18 individuals, Ywar Thit Village: 57 individuals, Bohmu Naung Ward and Bohmu Naung Elderly Shelter: 30 individuals, Ma Kyi Pin Village: 482 individuals, Ma Kyi Pin Village Group and Nyaung Pin Thar Village: 258 individuals, Kywe Phyu Yoe, Sin Thay, Zay Kone, Nham Taw, Thit Saim Pin, Zee Phyu Pin, Nat Thu Yae, and Pau San Khao Villages: 447 individuals, Lewe, Heman, and Thit Saing Villages: 150 individuals, Kwan Chaung Village: 70 individuals, Initial reports indicate 19 fatalities (6 males and 13 females). Search and rescue efforts are ongoing to assist affected residents and recover those still in danger.
