On September 3, 2024, at approximately 4 PM, a Royal poinciana tree measuring about 50 feet in height and 3.5 feet in circumference fell due to the heavy rain at Aye Mya Kan Thar quarter, Kawthaung township, Tanintharyi region. Upon receiving the report, fire fighters from Kawthaung district fire station were dispatched to the scene for clearance operations. The operation was completed at 4 40 PM. It was confirmed that there were no injuries or property damage resulting from this incident.
