Around 4:00 PM on July 1, 2024, due to rain and strong winds, a Malaysian teak tree approximately 30 feet tall and 3 feet in circumference fell at mile post (71/1) and a Xylia xylocarpa tree approximately 40 feet tall and 5 feet in circumference fell at mile post (71/5) on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Bago Region. Following this incident, the fire brigade from the Yatsauk Expressway Fire Station was dispatched with one fire truck to clear the debris. The operation was completed at 4:40 PM. It was reported that there were no injuries or casualties, and no property damage resulted from the incident.
