On June 2, 2024, at around 4:20 AM, a fire broke out at the cow shed, measuring 10x15 feet, with a zinc roof and wooden walls, belonging to Daw Aye Aye Aung in Ywa Thit Tan Ward, Nyaung Phyu Kalay Village, Thayawady Township, Thayawady District, Bago Region. The fire spread from an insect repellent coil to the adjacent wooden walls. Upon receiving the report, firefighting teams from the Thayawady District/Township Fire Station, Thone-Sae Region Fire Station, and Nyaung Phyu Kalay Region Fire Station, including both volunteer and reserve firefighters, arrived with four fire engines, one firefighting machine vehicle, and two water tankers. The fire was extinguished by 4:40 AM. The fire resulted in the loss of one 10x15 feet cow shed with a zinc roof and wooden walls, and one 20x30 feet single-story house with a zinc roof, bamboo mat walls, and bamboo flooring. Consequently, Daw Aye Aye Aung, the owner, has been charged under section 285 of the Penal Code by the Thone-Sae Region Police Station under case number (P)70/2024.
