On May 24, 2024, at around 10:52 AM, a fire broke out due to overheating of a 50W LED light bulb installed on the upper floor wall of a two-story house owned by Daw Mya Aye, located at Plot (36), between 75th and 76th streets, Auk Pauk Taw Ward, Aungmyethazan Township, Mandalay Region. The heat from the bulb caused a fire that spread to the clothes below. Upon receiving the news, the firefighters from the Mandalay Region, including members of the auxiliary fire brigade, responded with three administrative vehicles, fifteen fire trucks, and five water bowsers. The fire was extinguished by 11:14 AM. The fire resulted in the loss of the upper floor of the (60x60) feet house, with a (30x30) feet area, galvanized iron roof, and wooden structure. The incident led to the opening of case No. (P) 37/2024 under Section 285 of the Penal Code at Aungmyethazan Township's No. (2) Police Station against U Thar Nwe Aung, the son of the owner Daw Mya Aye
