On 10 February 2024, at about 01 53, Bago region fire department received a report indicating that a fire had broken out in the house, a single-floor structure measuring 20 by 12 feet and owned by U Aung Chit San, with the cause determined to be the overheating of the rice cooker. Upon the information, fire engines from Bago region fire department, Bago township and Bago local fire station were sent the fire and the fire was completely extinguished at 02 10. Due to the fire, three houses were lost. It is learned that the No 1 township Police station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penal Code (Pa) 48/2024 against U Aung Chit San, the owner of the house.
