At approximately 2:50 p.m. on 7 July 2026, a Kanyin tree, measuring approximately 7 feet in circumference and 50 feet in height, was uprooted by heavy rainfall and strong winds and fell across the road at Thiri Pyitsaya Extension (4), Ward No. (4), Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, obstructing traffic. Upon receiving the report, firefighters and auxiliary firefighters from the Nyaung-U Township Fire Station, Auxiliary Fire Station No. (4), and Auxiliary Fire Station No. (5) responded to the scene with one support vehicle and one community assistance vehicle and carried out clearance operations. The operation was completed successfully at approximately 3:35 p.m. No injuries or casualties were reported, and no property damage was sustained as a result of the incident.
