At approximately 1:24 p.m. on 5 July 2026, a report was received that a fire had broken out on the first floor (middle unit) of a six-storey RCC building comprising that owned by U Nyan Lin Aung (56 years old), located on East Shwegondine Road, Kone Min Kone Chin Ward, Bahan Township, Yangon Region. The fire was caused by overheating of the motor of a clothes dryer. Upon receiving the report, firefighters and auxiliary firefighters from the Bahan Township Fire Station responded with five fire engines and three water bowsers and carried out firefighting operations. The fire was successfully extinguished at approximately 1:34 p.m. As a result of the fire, one clothes dryer was destroyed. Legal action has been taken against the owner, U Nyan Lin Aung (56 years old), by the Bahan Myoma Police Station under Case No. (P) 215/2026, in accordance with Section 285 of the Penal Code.
