At approximately 12:00 noon on November 8, 2025, a fire broke out at Aye Ywar Lay Village, within the Dane Yae Village Tract, Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region. The fire originated at the kitchen area (15x20 ft) of a one-story RC (reinforced concrete) house (20x40 ft) owned by U Zaw Moe. The incident occurred when a spark from a fire used for cooking with firewood ignited a nearby bottle of diesel fuel, causing the fire to spread. According to the report, firefighters and auxiliary fire brigade members from Thanlyin Township Fire Station responded with two fire engines and managed to extinguish the fire at about 12:24 p.m. Due to the fire, the 15x20 ft kitchen and a portion of the roof and eaves of the 20x30 ft one-story house (zinc roof, wooden walls, bamboo flooring) were damaged. The owner, U Zaw Moe (age 42), has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code (Case No. Pa-62/2025) by the Thanlyin Township Police Station for negligence causing fire.
