On April 24, 2025, at around 4:00 PM, a fire broke out in the upper floor of a two-story house that owned by U Yaw Sa Sa, located on No (5) Street, Tatkone Ward, Myitkyina Township, Kachin State. The fire was reportedly caused by an electrical extension cord that overheated, igniting a nearby room. According to the report, firefighters from Head  of the Kachin State Fire Services Department and Myitkyina Township Fire Station cooperation with auxiliary fire members extinguished the fire with two fire engines and two water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 4:20 PM. Due to the fire, the upper floor of the two-story house (24x16 feet) was destroyed. The owner, U Yaw Sa Sa, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code with Case No. (Pa) 30/2025 at the Myitkyina Township Police Station.
