On March 28, 2025, at approximately 12:51 p m., a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale struck with its epicenter located about 20 kilometers northeast of Mandalay City and approximately 21 kilometers northeast of the Mandalay Seismic Station. The coordinates of the epicenter were 22.09 degrees North latitude and 96.23 degrees East longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers. As a result, search, rescue, and clearance teams from the Fire Services Department have been actively conducting emergency operations in Mandalay Region and Shan State, where damage and losses were reported due to the earthquake.

၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ မတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်နေ့၊ မွန်းလွဲ ၁၂ နာရီ ၅၁ မိနစ်အချိန်ခန့်က မန္တလေးမြေငလျင် စခန်းမှ အရှေ့မြောက်ဘက် ၂၁ ကီလိုမီတာခန့် ကွာဝေးသော မန္တလေးမြို့၏ အရှေ့မြောက်ဘက် ၂၀ ကီလို မီတာခန့်အကွာ မြောက်လတ္တီတွဒ် ၂၂.၀၉ ဒီဂရီ၊ အရှေ့လောင်ဂျီတွဒ် ၉၆.၂၃ ဒီဂရီ၊ အနက် ၁၀ ကီလိုမီတာကို ဗဟိုပြု၍ အင်အားရစ်(ခ်)တာစကေး ၇.၇ အဆင့်ရှိ အင်အားအလွန်ပြင်းထန်သော မြေငလျင်တစ်ခု လှုပ်ရှားခဲ့ပါသည်။ သို့ဖြစ်ပါ၍ မီးသတ်ဦးစီးဌာနမှ ရှာဖွေကယ်ဆယ်ရေးတပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်များသည် ငလျင်လှုပ်ခတ်မှုကြောင့် ထိခိုက်ပျက်ဆီးဆုံးရှုံးမှုဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သော မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီးနှင့် ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်အတွင်း အရေးပေါ်ရှာဖွေကယ်ဆယ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများနှင့် ရှင်လင်းရေးလုပ်ငန်းများ ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။
