On 4 August 2026, at about 7:18 a.m. a Malaysian padauk tree fell across the Yangon–Pyay Road in Min Ye Kyaw Swar Ward, Okkan Town, Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region, blocking the road. According to  the report, firefighters from Okkan Area Fire Station responded to the scene with one fire engine and carried out clearance operations. The operation was successfully completed at approximately 8:50 a.m. No injuries or casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
