On May 14, 2026, at approximately 6:55 AM, due to heavy rainfall, a Banyan tree, measuring about 6.5 feet in circumference and 30 feet in height, fell down within the Township Police Office  in Paung Ward, Paung Township, Mon State. Upon receiving the report, firefighters from the Paung Township Fire Station and auxiliary fire brigade members responded with one search and rescue vehicle to carry out clearing operations. The work was successfully completed by 8:00 AM. No one was injured in the incident.
