On 11 February 2026, at about 8:30 a.m., on the Nawaday  road between mile posts (5/1) and (5/2), near the Shukhinthar downhill area in Sintae Village Tract, Padaung Township, Bago Region, a traffic accident occurred. A green 12-wheel NISSAN truck, driven by U San Naing, was traveling from Myanaung to Pyay when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into a ravine and overturned. According to the report, firefighters from Padaung Township Fire Station responded with one fire engine and carried out search and rescue operations, which were completed at 9:12 a.m. Due to the accident, the front section and body of the NISSAN truck were damaged and a man was dead and 2 people were injured. The injured persons were transported by the Pwint Hla Thein Kone volunteer organization vehicle to Padaung Township Public Hospital. Legal action has been taken by Padaung Township Myoma Police Station against the deceased driver U San Naing (52 years old) under Traffic Case No. (P) 1/2026, in accordance with Sections 304-A, 338, and 337 of the Penal Code.
