On 3 September 2025, at about 3:15 a m, a fire broke out at the residence of U Khin Naing, located on U Thar Kyaw Street, Ward No. 18, Taungoo, Bago Region. The house, a two-storey RC building. The fire started  when an overheated fan ignited a nearby mattress. Firefighters from Taungoo Township Fire Station, along with members of Taungoo Rescue Volunteer Association and Maha Metta Volunteer Association, responded with three fire engines and one water bowser. The fire was completely extinguished at 3:38 a.m. Due to the fire, the two-storey RC house (20x30 feet) was destroyed. It is reported that the owner, U Khin Naing, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code in case (Pa) 203/2025 by Taungoo Myoma Police Station.
