On 2 September 2025, at about 8:15 a m, it was reported that a mango tree, approximately 10 feet in circumference and about 50 feet tall, located within the compound of Yae Ngu Monastery in Yae Htut Village, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, fell onto the Yae Ngu Pagoda due to heavy rainfall. Firefighters from Patheingyi Township Fire Station, cooperative with auxiliary firefighters responded with one fire truck to carry out clearance operations. The operations were completed at 6:15 p m. It was confirmed that no casualties or injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
